Happy Belated Birthday!

On June 10, Caleb celebrated his 5th birthday while we were at Ma & Pa’s.  We, of course, ate birthday pancakes, and then he opened his present from Jeff and me:  HOT WHEELS Track Attack.  He didn’t get to enjoy it for long because we loaded up soon afterward and hit the road home.

Anyway, it doesn’t seem like it’s been 5 years since the day he was born.  Oh, how we’ve enjoyed his charisma and charm.  I couldn’t even begin to count  the many smiles he’s caused to cross my face or the many times he’s made us all laugh with a quirky comment.  And it still warms my soul everyday to hear him say “You’re pretty, Mama!  I love you!”  So, I wish him the very best this next year of the long road ahead of him.  I can’t wait to see what’s in store for him!

Ice Cream Parlor

While visiting family, we decided to also pay a visit to the new ice cream shop in town, Skipper’s.  It was a really cute place fixed up with vintage arcade games, and original ice cream parlor counter and booths.  The boys gobbled up their Blue Bell ice cream and then went on to some fresh-roasted peanuts.  We also enjoyed visiting Mammaw Mary and my best gal pal, Becky.

Breakin’ the Tooth Fairy

After much wiggling and pulling and tying strings, Aaron lost his first tooth a couple of weekends ago at Ma & Pa’s house.  He was so brave as he let Ma try to pull it out, and even when Pa had the grand idea to tie a string around it.  Pa’s plan worked and out flew Aaron’s tooth, earning him a whole dollar from the tooth fairy.

And as if that wasn’t enough, a couple of days later, Jonathan pulled a tooth out of his head too.  He had the idea to leave his tooth on his desk for the tooth fairy, but we guess she wasn’t able to find it.  So the next night, he decided to stash it under his pillow.  He was very happy to wake up to a dollar under his pillow the next morning, as were his dad and me. ; )

Stewart Reunion

The reunion was a blast.  It’s always fun to go back home and visit family we hardly ever see.  We always hear lots of comments on how much the boys have grown and how handsome they are; and, of course, we have to agree.  They had fun playing with Jordan, running around on the stage, and playing at the park.  Jeff and I, and the rest of the fam, enjoyed the yummy catfish catered by one of my cousins.  All in all, I would say the reunion was a total success!

Top Models??!!

Here are my beautiful sister, Dana, and gorgeous cousin, Katie, working the camera.  They may be silly, but they sure know how to strike a pose…

Of course, the real models, ”Desiree” and “Candy,” had to show them how it’s really done.  Their names have been changed, per their request, to protect them from stalkers and unsolicited phone calls. : )

Love all you guys!!  You sure know how to give us all a good laugh!

Just Chillin’ @ Ma & Pa’s

We stayed at Ma and Pa’s house for the weekend and the boys enjoyed just hanging out!  They played games, colored, shot the BB gun, and played with T-Bone and Dip.

Ma and Pa gave the boys their birthday present while we were down there, and had Jonathan’s 20Q game guess what it was.  Afterwards, they searched outside for it and found the  trampoline boxes hiding in the back of Pa’s truck.  They were excited about the gift, but disappointed when we couldn’t fit it in our truck to bring home.  Pa said they would have to deliver it in a few weeks!

Visit with Nana and Pepaw

Of course we couldn’t pass up a visit with Nana and Pepaw and the boys’ favorite cousin, Carson.  They pulled the big water slide out and all the boys had a blast…and made a huge mess on their deck!  Pepaw cooked us some hot dogs and even made my favorite, homemade ICE CREAM!  Thanks a bunch!

Poolside Party

Since we were in town last weekend with family, Mama Nance and Daddy Wayne decided they would throw the boys a birthday party.  They cooked their favorite, cheeseburgers, and the boys swam like they were little fish.  Pa got in, gave Aaron and Caleb a little swimming lesson, and off they all went.  They can all 3 swim without floaties.  I was slightly nervous and almost jumped in, clothes and all, several times; but they managed without me!

For their birthday, they each received a duffel bag and school keepsake book; and together they got a cool telescope.  Jeff and Pa stayed up a couple of nights until 3:00 am trying catch glimpses of stars and planets!!

Anyway…thanks for everything.  Here are some pictures.

Splishin’ and Splashin’

The boys have been having lots of fun in the sun; but, of course, nothing beats a day at the pool.  Here’s everybody swimming and jumping and chilling out at the DAC.  Jonathan, Aaron, and Caleb were having a blast; but, as you can see, Levi wasn’t a big fan of the heat, nor the cold water!  But at least he looks adorable in his stylin’ surfer dude swimsuit!

All Star Player

I just wanted to take a minute to brag about my little man.  Jonathan has worked extremely hard this year at baseball, and has vastly improved.  I know I’ve talked about this in a previous post, but I can hardly contain my excitement. . . we just got the call. . . he made the All-Star team.  His coach said that his hard, consistent hitting, his catching abilities, and his willingness and eagerness to learn and improve earned him a spot on the team.  After this weekend, we will have tournaments every weekend in June.  His dad and I are very proud, and Jonathan is sooo excited.  And besides, our calendar was looking a little empty. . . we needed something to keep us busy for a while!
