This old horse has been part of our family for over 20 years. Built by our grand-pa, Daddy Wayne, it has become Levi’s new favorite toy. He sits on it and says “Yee-haw!” And don’t even think about touching it! He scream at you and say “Move!” Crazy cowboy…he loves his horsey!

A Hippie Halloween
November 2, 2009 · Filed under Fall Activities, Kacey's Stories
The boys had a groovy time being hippies for Halloween. They dressed up in their tye-dye shirts, vests, bell-bottoms, head bands, peace necklaces, and cool shades, and carried their protest signs, and marched around the neighborhood collecting gobs of junk food and candy. We even decorated Levi’s car as if it were Woodstock-bound. We had lots of fun trick-or-treating with our good buddy, Ethan, and his mom and dad!

Dance Levi, Dance!
August 16, 2009 · Filed under Kacey's Stories, Levi
Any time Levi hears music, his head starts bobbing and his booty starts shaking. He is hilarious to watch. At Bahama Breeze last week, we sat outside on the patio and listened to some live Bob-Marley-type music. Levi just couldn’t help himself…he danced and danced and danced the night away! This is a video I took…

Jonathan has been learning how to play the guitar. He’s catching on really fast and doing great. We’re proud of him for sticking with it. This video is one of him playing one of his favorite songs “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash…

Now the summer’s over, and it’s time for school. Here are the boys in their new school duds, ready for their first day. So grown up…..

All 3 boys….ready to go!

Caleb: 6 years, 1st grade

Aaron: 7 years, 2nd grade

Jonathan: 9 years, 4th grade
To all 3 of you guys…I am so proud of you, and know this year is going to be great. Although you are the smartest 3 kiddos on Earth, there’s still lots more to learn! Much love to each of you!
1st Haircut
August 11, 2009 · Filed under Kacey's Stories, Levi, Milestones
Although Levi was in great need of a haircut, it was a tough decision…I just couldn’t bring myself to cut off his sweet little curls. Finally, after a passerby called him a ”she”, I finally decided it was time. He just got a little trim, mostly in the front, and kept some of his curls. After a cookie, he sat up like a big boy in the chair, squirmed a little bit; but cooperated pretty well with the stylist. Then, he was rewarded with a sticky sucker that he licked down to the stick. It was all worth it!

Waiting in his own red chair…

Getting his cape on….

Trying to figure out the water bottle…kept him occupied

Tired of the water bottle, time to finish up…

All done…enjoying his sucker!
